The Gathering is a week of Quaker worship, workshops, and community for all ages. Friends come together from across the US and Canada to deepen our connection to one another and the Spirit. The Gathering is typically held on a college campus. Beginning in 2024, in-person Gatherings will alternate years with online Gatherings and in-person Young Adult & Youth (YAY) gatherings.

Our recent discussion introduced us to the guidance of Loretta Ross. On Wednesday, April 17 at 7 pm we'll be discussing ideas raised by two of Loretta Ross's videos -- if we all watch them ahead of time we'll have more time to discuss, but we can watch them during the session if needed. They are on her website, https://lorettajross.com/ Look for "The Origin of the Phrase Women of Color" and actor Constance Wu interview.

Saratoga Friends Meeting affirms our belief in the presence of the Spirit in each person, and we welcome everyone. We are dismayed at the current wave of legislation that seeks to deprive transgender and non-binary people of basic human rights and health care. We encourage legislation protecting the rights, safety, and human dignity of these people, as indeed of all people.
